PoE on the steam machine
http://store.steampowered.com/sale/steam_machines?
Steam machines are available in November 2015. I might be buying the alienware version, if I can play PoE on it. I did read somewhere not all games available on steam are available on the steam machine. Can someone confirm that this is the case? I'd love to play PoE without lag.. finaly.
you dont need alienware for a lagfree game...
Yes not all steam games are available on those thingies but well why shouldnt poe be ported? Never in a rush - always in a mess.

Need an alienware for swagness
duh. | |
I can't say for certain either way, but if the Steam Machine isn't running Windows, it is unlikely PoE will work on it
A lot of the new Steam stuff is running on a Linux-based system. I don't think Steam is going to do any custom porting for PoE to work on Linux-based machines. So without knowing what the underlying OS is, it's hard to say for sure.
I think it is running on linux aswell but I'm not sure
thats why I'm asking. | |
" This isn't Steam support or support for Steam Machines. You'd get better responses by asking the Steam Machine support directly. PoE only works on Windows (officially). Last edited by Drakier on Apr 24, 2015, 4:29:57 PM

" Thanks for your insightfull comment, I really think the people from the Steam Machine support know wether or not I can play PoE on there engine... /sarcasm meh.. I might just have to buy an alienware pc insteads.
" You're missing my point. The Steam Machine support knows what OS comes on those machines. If it's not Windows, it likely won't work. And I'd say your comment applies to GGG Support. How are they supposed to know if the Steam Machine hardware can run PoE?
We already said it was linux

" we didn't say it was anything. As far as I've seen, it's all been speculation and hypothesis. That was why I asked you to get in contact with Steam Machine support. They can verify that for you, and then you'll know whether PoE even has a shot at running on it or not. |
