The Awakening Item Page and Top-Tier Supporter Beta Access

Our plan for scaling up Beta access for existing users has two prongs.

We will give Closed Beta access to top-tier supporters from previous sets of Supporter Packs:

• Diamond Supporters (Closed Beta) were granted access today
• Ruler/Eternal Supporters (Open Beta) will be granted access tomorrow
• Conqueror Supporters (Release) will be granted access the next day
• Grandmaster Supporters (Forsaken Masters) will be granted access the day after

We'll also be running some events in-game over the next few weeks that award keys. Tomorrow's news post is about a solo (trading disabled) five-day event that we'll be running starting on the weekend.

As our requirements for more testers grow over time, we look forward to adding more opportunities for you to get into the Beta.

Getting new players into the beta is valuable because when The Awakening, with all its new content and balance changes is released that's what new (and returning) players are going to experience.

If we only design from the perspective of experienced players, then we run the risk of making the game impenetrable to new ones.

So yeah we won't get the same feedback as we get from experienced players, but it's no less important.
