Physical Reave | Vaal Pact | Acrobatics & Phase Acrobatics | Assassin

Build Idea:
This build is a physical critical strike Reave Shadow, wich use a high Physical Damage Dagger for the offence.
Evasion gear in combination with Acrobatics & Phase Acrobatics provide a good defence.

As ascendancy class i chose: Assassin for the notes Deadly Infusion & Ambush.

Rare items should have:

• High Life & Evasion
• Elemental or Chaos Resistance
• Add Physical Damage / Attack Speed / Critical Strike Chance / Critical Strike Multiplier
• Intelligence

Gems:

• Main Skill: Reave (lvl 20/20%) - Multistrike (lvl 20/20%) - Melee Physical Damage (lvl 20/20%) - Increased Critical Damage (lvl 20/20%) - Faster Attacks (lvl 20/20%) - Increase Area Of Effect (lvl 20/20%) // Concentrate Effect (lvl 20/20%) for boss kills
• Aura: Hatred (lvl 20) - Herald of Ash (lvl 20/20%)
• Aura+Curse: Herald of Thunder (lvl20/20%) - Curse On Hit (lvl20/20%) - Assassin´s Mark (lvl 20/20%)
• Cast when Damage Taken(lvl 5) Increased Duration (lvl 20/20%) - Immortal Call (lvl 7)
• Movement Skill: Whirling Blades - (lvl 20/20%) - Faster Attacks (lvl 20/20%) - Fortify (lvl 20/20%)
• Other: Blood Rage (lvl 20/20%) - Summon Ice Golem (lvl 20/20%) - Abyssal Cry (lvl 20/20%)
• Vaal: Vaal Haste (lvl20) - Vaal Cyclone (lvl20) - Life On Hit (lvl20/20%) - Increased Duration (lvl 20/20%) // Use Vaal Grace instead of Vaal Cyclone for maps like Atziri
• NOTE: Some gems dont need Quality. (Vaal Gems/Cwdt/Hatred)

Defence:
Vaal Pact grants instant life restoration from life leech.
It also causes life regeneration to have no effect.
Through Vaal Pact we dont oneshot ourself against elemental reflect monster.

For most Evasion character the best choise is to use Acrobatics for 30% Chance to Dodge Attacks in addition to a high Evasion Rating.

Phase Acrobatics give 30% Chance to Dodge Spells.

Atziri´s Step provide additional 14-16% Chance to Dodge Spells.

NOTE: This build is mainly created for Softcore to deal alot of damage.
I didnt took alot of life notes in the passive and also my items are focused on damage.

• Normal: Life from Oak
• Cruel: Attack Speed from Kraityn
• Merciless: Power Charge from Alira

Hey, i'm thinking of playing a build very similar to yours. Would you say that the build works well in hardcore?
And why would you rate a belly of the beast over a lightning coil as chest?
Also, how easy is it to get the two 60% auras up and running, at what level do you think the mana can be sustained when leveling a new character and gems?

Hello, yes i think its viable on HC. It depends alot of your playstyle ofc.

I never had problems with phys dmg and im not a big fan of light coil. I think high life helps more.

2x 60% aura shouldnt be a problem. Just take the ranger reduced aura notes. You can sustain mana with 2% mana leech and a mightflay while leveling. Try to tae the long routes on the passive tree first. Get Mind Drinker for more mana leech. If you have a good phys dagger the mana shouldnt be a big problem. If you still have mana problems run a hybrid flask.

I'm testing this build, works very nice. I'm at the end of A3 on normal. I know it's to early to judge, but I'm playing on flashback league and even w/o few important gems (Grace!) and gear it's pure fun!

Atm I'm using two daggers, I'll switch to one+ shield when I'll have better gear with more sockets. I'm guessing end of Merci run.
I hope I'll find second Multistrike to hook up Dual Strike.
