Steam Client Help Required

I have POE installed on my PC, but don't use the Steam Client to play it. I log in to POE using my email address, and wish to keep it that way. I do have Steam installed and wish to use it to log in to my son's account in POE (he plays POE through Steam). If I do this will it somehow screw up my logging in to my own account using the non-Steam POE Client?
Favourite armour? Hmmm, I forget it's name, but it's that scarlet one that whatsherface wears when she wants to look splendid.

So long as you don't try to link your account to steam it should be fine.

It might be prudent to link your account to your own steam account, so you don't need to worry about problems or confusion in the future.
