General Discussion - add a line to 1.4 patch notes - Forum

Features: Added 3D Art for Cloak of Defiance, Cloak of Flame, Dreamfeather, Lightning Coil, Queen of the Forest, and Soul Mantle. Level 8 Masters no longer count toward your hideout's Master limit. Added a new Dexterity Skill - Herald of Time (mini Haste). Visual Effects of Herald gems are now less pronounced so that glove art and Lori's Lantern are easier to see. Visual Effects of unique items (such as Belt of the Deceiver) can now be individually disabled. Balance: Increased the cast speed/damage of Ethereal Knives by x%. or, less likely: Critical hits no longer apply status effects automatically. Spells can no longer crit. Spell damage on some gems has been increased accordingly. All projectile attacks now implicitly start at full damage and lose damage the further they are from the user (based on distance from the point of attack, not total distance traveled). Increased/decreased projectile speed increases/decreases the ranges at which damage decays, albeit non-linearly." There, now ranged attackers actually suffer lesser rewards when they hide behind a massive lack of risk.
