Level 35 Templar and 1,8k DPS with Static Strike?

So, I have been gearing up my templar in bloodlines by now and I got a weapon stashed with extremely high rolls on elemental dmg (lightning and fire) and I reached a DPS of 1,8k with Static Strike with Supp Gems "Weapon Elemental Dmg" and "Multistrike". I use Herald of Ashe and Herald of Thunder just as well. Is this supposed to be normal? I didnt even really manage to reach 600+ DPS with my EK Shadow and he WAS (R.I.P) level 49.

EDIT: Piety died in ~10 seconds, no time for any transformation.
EDIT: Dominus on normal was dead in notime, like 10 seconds when he ascended.
