The blind witch challenge - EB Arcane Vision run

I like to experiment weird builds, I've played Diablo 2 for years, D2 -as some of you may know- was a game that was left alone for years, this made so that the community created their own handicaps and strange goals (example: IronMan) in order to create new experiences.
I've made this thread in order to track how far I can go with my Blind Witch, and to propose the same challenge to others, the challenge:

- Play Witch with Eldritch Battery + Arcane Vision and see how far in the game you can get without dying. For people in softcore interested just take note of the first time you die. You can still keep on updating after death, though it should be instead called a skeleton or something of the like.

Each person may impose their own rules onto themselves;

You may tweak/not tweak/trade/not trade/self-found, may be ranged, spells or melee, may party/not party (though be sure you are not being completely carried, that kinda defeats the point)),have hp bars off, never use the map -I seriously advise against this, but, if you feel like it..then well, its your choice you will be lost in dark places like sins, hell, I bumped into zombies and walls all the time - use skills or/and nodes that would make it more risky/weird: Avatar of fire, shield charge, flicker strike, etc. Use anything, be creative and most of all, have fun!


I understand most wont be interested, but if anyone is, it would be cool to see who can level the highest without dying and whatever wacky builds people will use.

Additional Classes: Hell, You can go Shadow or Scion or even Ranger if you want, just make sure you get the combo as soon as possible for either class. Or if reforming another class and you can get them with the respec, then go for it, (would love to see a blind Marauder or duelist for example, templars also welcome) Or hell, you can start a new one and just pick it as soon as possible, though the idea is to try to not miss the most content playing blind.
Just specify your class.

For record, Im leveling a rather safe, but I think still a bit bad, build:
ClawingThroughTheDark is currently a lvl 27 Dual Claw Cyclone blind witch in the bloodlines league, no further restrictions as this is my first time

Im an altholic so dont expect this to level fast, but will update from time to time when I feel I've reached a goal or die.

Solaire's chestpiece will save you a skillpoint in endgame. it's not a bad chest either.

Thanks for the support, I actually put it a bit on hold cause the next day my high level char that I used for dailies died and I had to rush another one to get them done. Also, might resume today.

Good call on Incandescent heart, Ill be sure to remember it, pity there's not something that offers EB (guess would be OP to), I use a lot of nodes just traveling there with no real gain.

Seriously, not only its pitchblack, its scary as hell, you'll be ambushed by skeletons all the time, spooky!

2ND EDIT: Just a note; I love torches, there are many places in game where torches light up when you approach, so helpful

3RD EDIT: Oh and obstacles are a thing of the devil. You think they are annoying normally? try it when you cant see them!

It really looks better in motion, I would do video but not sure how or if it wont affect my pc performance.

Really interested in this, all kinds of weird builds popped up towards the end of D2's lifespan. Does anybody remember the naked Amazon Valkyrie? I think that was superdave's challenge on HC. Made it to Hell Baal and left it all on a cliffhanger...

You should also turn off enemy hp bars :)
