And look what happened, two of the most broken skills are dominating the game. I don't even really care, I just find it funny that even after TS you went ahead and added another similar skill.

There was no "rule" on attacks shotgunning. They simply discussed it at the time, came to the conclusion you posted but clearly changed their mind later.

Also, you clearly do care immensely, otherwise you wouldn't be making threads here.

I dont care about RMT but do something! I dont care about sustaining high lvl maps but increase the goddamn map drops! I dont care about other people in this game but nerf their goddamn fun, its not fair, they have fun but I do not!

It's got nothing to do with fun, it's possible to steamroll with a 3c bow/wand all the way to 75 maps. Game is full ez mode.

Then don't play those skills.

The nice thing about this game is that not all skills are created equal. Some are better than others, and sometimes this changes with patches. This game is also constantly evolving, and changing with (very) frequent patches.

It's kinda like the sc/hc thing ... if you want a higher challenge, play hc. Or play sc if you don't want to reroll all the time.

Same thing with the skills. If a certain skill is (currently) over-powered, then try something else that will be a challenge. For instance, I have a good friend that made a toon strictly to use the sweep skill to end game. Sweep is not really known for being an OP skill.

In my opinion/experience, PoE is a great game because of the wide variety of skills combined with a wide variety of other skills to link them with. As you become experienced with the game, you'll find yourself 'nerfing' your playstyle to up the challenge. This can have a great reward when you come up with interesting combonations of skills and find new ways of having ... wait for it ... fun.

I mean, that's why we sit in front of a monitor & waste our time, right? To have fun. At least thats the reason I do it for.

If you don't like TS or KB, then don't use them. Don't crap on other peoples fun factor.

But the content is balanced around top end. And if ts/kinetic blast remain as powerful as they are all other non-op skills can become simply unviable. And there is no fun in 20min map clear.

Thats why games of poe type try to achieve some sort of balance - to give more options. If content is balanced around broken skill the poeple that slect some other skill are shafted. There is no fun in that.

And btw - to compete in economy (because poe ladser is just that) one needs highest clear speed. Want to compete - sure. Just select one of the 'competetive skills'. Selecting other skills make you inefficient from the start. That is also not fun.

So while a slight power variance is nice there is nothing healthy about there being clear BEST choice. TS is clear best choice right now. Kinetic blast is in the same class however it competes with power siphon that is also a very good skill.

Diversity is not measure in skill gem count. It is viable and attractive skill count that matters. Picking inferior choice might be challenging in single player game balanced around mid-level. But this game is abalanced around most efficient and gimping oneself on purpose is nowhere near to being fun.
