Switching to critical strike based character

After a year of using resolute technique based characters and getting sick of 10K-20K DPS. I became really curious how do some players attain above 30K DPS and even 100K DPS. Which led me to investigate the builds forum on POE. To my shock, for every critical strike based build that comes with a resolute technique version. The difference in DPS between the two versions will be same.

Shockwave totem 20K DPS VS Critical shockwave totem 50K DPS

Resolute technique molten strike 15K DPS VS Critical molten strike 30K DPS

Elemental buzzsaw 12K DPS VS Low life critical elemental buzzsaw 60K DPS?

WOE BOR dual wield 20K DPS VS Dagger dual wield critical 60K DPS

Now, either all of us realize that resolute technique is a noob trap meant by GGG which I am going to warn everybody now, or GGG wake up their idea that the game is going in one direction again.

What I am going to do next is to sell away all the gears I collected over the years and replace them with daggers, critical bonus wands and jewellery with added critical bonus. That is the only way to reach >50K DPS builds in the game right now.
it is bad

but there is a hidden note that some tend to ignore - accuracy

i see people (Even streamers) going for 300% crit and high multi without accuracy% and then their builds have 79% chance to hit (flat accu is needed but without % it is not enough)

it obviously does not apply to spells but for melee (Esp the left side) accuracy cuts down the 'real' dmg output significantly as it rolls for hit AND crit

+1 to game going into the same tunel d3 drove into - crit or gtfo

I have 60k DPS with a resolute WoE build. Would never go crit with it.
Welcome to the Path of mindlessly broken crit daggers

I think you missed the fact that probably all of those high dps crit builds use some sick gear.
"Elemental buzzsaw 12K DPS VS Low life critical elemental buzzsaw 60K DPS?"

How can you even compare that? Has nothing to do with crit vs res. tech. Low life is your deciding factor there.
Crit multiplayer is what breakes the shit out of control. Dealing double, heck, even triple damage is not that broken. But 600-700%? If you get decent crit chance this pretty much means 300-350% more damage, thus broken DPS. To add salt to all this, monsters HP seems to be balanced for crits.

I gotta admit my only characters that do some good damage are crit based.

You should see 90/900 crit builds

Yeah, 800% more damage, why not :-S Add shock to that, and there you go - 1400% more damage.

You go towards purity of flesh to use bloodrage and since you need int. I don't like iron reflexes so I don't take it. It's pretty easy to take more offensive nodes if you want more DPS. 6k HP is reachable with my passives(is pretty defensive).

All gear is selffound except helm and carcass was given by a friend(was using 4 link belly before which is 400 more life.. and don't really need a 5 link chest). Got WoE early on and 6 linked in 260~ fuse. Got rainbowstride from unique strongbox. Gear has been unchanged for last 2 weeks since I play other chars now. Has done death and taxes, farmed atziri..etc.
