Act 3 Merciless Party Disappearing from Public

EDIT: Figured it out. I think this is normal behavior, parties automatically stop showing up in the list after a certain time period...to help get rid of all the WTB/WTS/WTT parties in the list. Annoying for people actually running a party for a long time. If anybody has any advice, let me know.

I'm noticing something strange though...when I create a party in Act 3 and then move to my hideout for the first map, the party fills up almost instantly, but after mapping a while and people leave, seems like nobody comes back into the party. This happened with 3 different parties I created today - some went an hour or so with just 2 or 3 of us in the party with nobody joining. Is there something happening with the party while mapping that would cause it to revert back to Normal or drop off the public list?
