How far ahead can leech build up?

This question applies to the aegis aurora energy shield replenish as well I suppose.



Say you have 1000 max life, and you leech 500 life all at once. Without vaal pact, your leech rate is capped at 200 HP/sec. Is there a limit on how far ahead this can stack? For example, say over the next second after that I leech another 500 HP. The rate is still capped at 200/sec, so will it continue to refill my life for a total of 5 seconds, or is there some sort of cap on that figure?

leech can build up as long you don't reach max hp. then it gets resetted, like for potions. you simply lose the remainin seconds of regeneration.
