Softcore or Hardcore, what has killed you due to lag/desync?

Anything and everything. And one extreme case where (In a cleared map! Not a single enemy left) a rhoa appeared and killed me then disappeared with Slurms laughing his ass off saying he wished he recorded it.

Lol...don't know. Saw kungen die due to desync. Was kind of sad.

You can somewhat prevent the chances of desync. Avoid walls and don't get surrounded especially if you are just running through the level.
