(GGG) are 2 handed melee weapons going to get the bow treatment?

So bows were weak , no doubt about it , they had lowish base damage , lower top end aps and lack of block. comparied to 1 handers

but two handers have no block as well, even lower top aps , worse scaling and dont get the benefit of having something in the quiver/ shield slot

(all those complaining bow users need to stop it complaining when they can get a quiver with life and that one resist you needed , it is shameful display)

SO My question to GGG is: are the 2 handers going to get the bow treatment.

specifically:
are they going to get a boost damage wise to make up for their criminally poor scaling (low aps = bad scaling)

are the two handers going to get some stat buffs to make up for the fact that they flat out dont get anything in the shield slot (even though i would totally think you could wear a shield on your back.

and finally are they going to get some more interesting and impactful implicit mods to help make them more worth the loss of a shield?

like 2 hand swords get base crit etc?


I really want to make a 2 hand build , but every one i make has less dps , and less survivability than my one hander versions of the same build.

Imo 2h should get double implicit:

swords - accuracy/crit (30 accuracy/10 crit)
axe - crit/crit multi (15 crit/10 crit multi)
mace - stun/block (10 stun/6 block)
staff - block/spell block (12 block/6 spell block)

something like above. Maybe other implicit/stats or something but this would IMO make them more viable.

Whats really funny is that 2 handers crit rate is so bad. Its so hard to scale their crit it makes it almost impossible to make them hit hard. How come the hardest hitting weapon in the game is a dagger? Why is it not a big ass 2 hand axe or something?

Ok ok daggers can be so precise that one can precisely hit the heart, resulting in a killing blow.

How about an axe cutting your fucking head off? Wouldn't that make sense to justify them dealing quite a lot of damage?

How about a mace squashing your head, spilling its content all over the room? I think that could hurt quite a bit. Hell i'd gladly take a dagger in the heart before that.

But their dps is beaten by daggers just because they're better at landing crits.

And im afraid that even if they buff the crit rate of 2 handers it would make them just too much dangerous against reflect. Can't mitigate phys damage as easily as ele damage...
damage means little for 2h and increasing it does not solve a simple problem

as long as block works as it works there is no point (Except being poor like me or stubborn like me) to select a 2h if one is after efficiency (That mostly depends on survivability).

and 2h damage is pitiful compared to daggers (that also can get block via shield of dual wielding)

so what is the point of 2h? second 6Link. but who really NEEDS two 6Links? it is ofc better to have one but who needs them? you need one - 6L Shavrone for crit dagger shenanigans

Not even mentioning 2h crit being nonexistant and a 250 dps dagger outDPSing mirror worthy 2handers...

Mirror worthy 2hander : 881 dps
Dual wielding 2 300 dps 1handers : 869 dps +15% block chance
You want to know why 2h damage was buffed? Mirror worthy 2h had less dps than a mirror worthy 1h. Not even making this up.

800+ dps on a 2hander is close to if not mirror worthy.

On the other hand, a 200pdps dagger worth 2 chaos can outdps that 2hander, since it is very easy to reach 80% crit and 600% crit multi.

2 handers need a buff for scaling in end game. They are amazing early on since they do a lot of damage and it's easy to facetank everything, but late game, their damage is mediocre and they provide no additional survivability.
