Windows 8.1 update and game hangs at GGG loading screen

Updated to windows 8.1 and now the game hangs at GGG loading screen.

So a few things to check:
1) do you have the latest video card drivers from the video card manufacturer's site (not the site for the brand of PC)? IE: Do you have the latest drivers from either the nvidia, radeon, or intel site for whichever card you have? 2) If you're using a Laptop, have you made sure that if you have a dedicated video card that your software is set to run Path of Exile using the dedicated card and not the integrated card? 3) can you try renaming your production_Config.ini file in the My Games\Path of Exile\ folder and restarting and see if it fixes the problem. If so, you'll need to copy your settings over or re-apply them. | |

Remember one thing if you upgrading your windows to newer version you need to make clean instal for your drivers for this version of windows too.
