Summer Forest Night

Once day, now night,
Upon the summer forest, shines the moon's light,
Nearby is a field, covered in flowers and tall grass,
Flowers glowing in the moon light, as reflective as glass,

A gentle breeze sways all around you,
Not warm nor cool, yet it still feels new,
It brings the only sound possible to hear,
As it causes all the plantlife to rustle far and near,

As you look around, fireflies ignite in every direction,
Looking up the stars are brighter than ever, you can see the whole collection,
You lay in this field, and it feels like a dream,
As a voice from the forest whispers "Not everything is what it seems".

Poetic license. Not everything must be factual to be good in a poem. It is meant convey imagery.

Its good in my opinion. I remember your Bex poem as well. That was good too.

But when it comes to writing, does it make you happy? If no, why do it?

If yes, ignore those that don't care for your work. You can't please everyone and if you try to, you will fail.

I really enjoy writing when I feel up to it or get an idea for something. I feel I have a way with words and can paint an image with them. For me the enjoyment really comes when others can immerse themselves in what I create, especially when I only used words to create such an experience.
