Question about Righteous Fire

I was wondering if the Item Quantity and Item Rarity support Gems work on Righteous Fire, even if the item is not equiped anymore.

I was thinking about getting a 6l Searing Touch with RF, Increased AoE, Concentrated effect, Increase burning effect, item rarity and item quantity. I only use it to cast RF and then switch to a other weapon slot.

Would this work??

I think what he's saying is that currently it works, but after the patch it won't. You can't cast RF with an item and then not keep the item equipped and still have RF once the patch releases. No more snapshotting. Basically, if you're thinking about buying a 6l Searing Touch solely for RF, don't. You won't be able to effectively use it for RF in a week.

Okay... but if i would for example use a Carcass Jack for the RF and keep it equiped Item Quantity and Quality will work right??
