Lightning in 1.2

Is this Op talking about 'lighting' or 'lightning'?
This is a huge nerf to shock imo.

Now you can achieve the same result with a single curse and it lasts way longer than shock

Heck even elemental equilibrium is better than shock now

Im afraid burn will be nerfed to the ground too :/

One single stronger shock stack instead of three that get applied best by Elemental Proliferation, I'm fine with that. Still hoping for endgame viability of Spark. :)

On another note, amazing how this game has changed over the last 3 years :P
I dont care for it. Nerfs monsters too. Storm callers were to be feared. Now? just another spell like any other your measly 75% resits should overcome. I walk around with 87% LR and 100% with flask and 3 flask nodes. Guess I can loosen up a bit.

I am playing arc supporter focused on shock stacking. This change will completely kill my specialization. Every lightning skill or skill linked with added ligtning will be basically doing the same job as my arc with 60% shock chance and elemental proliferation.

They're already doing the same job. Just with like 0 stack duration.

They have not shown everything but this does feel like a nerf to lightning, so a lot of builds focus on getting the 3 stacks for 90% more damage. 50% Increased damage is significantly less for those builds. Thunderfist feels kind of meh now.
It will be easier to apply shock stacks now. A higher base damage of lightning spells assumed.
As the length of the shock depends on target life and lightning damage and has to exceed a certain ratio, a higher base damage will result in more often and more reliable shock stats. Although the shock status itself isnt as powerfull (and dangerous) as it is now.
I like the changes.
