Aussie server lag

Hi team,
is there any issue with the aussie server? Some instances I join have spiking pings, However if I re set the instance then I might get a steady one that hovers at around a 50 ping. Thanks, | |

Hey Gh05t5,
Do you play in a party? It is possible that your party members that play on other gateways are hosting instances to servers you aren't close to. If you find you have this issue while playing alone, you are always welcome to diagnose your connection by checking your modem/router and security software settings, then posting a WinMTR report. This happens also when not in party play, just need to figure out how to upload images.
Also when I went looking for the screenshots there are lots of files named similar to: 825867f86dffe723d039e2dad7eb0bcb6c101dca7b77fa5461f8bc2b04a4f4d1 and 1-2kb in size Are these POE files?? They appear to be created during gameplay..... | |

Hey there,
I have edited your post so the image is available for users to view easily. Hmm. Was this WinMTR taken while you were having these connectivity issues? You may need to run this WinMTR to your instance server (found by searching at the bottom of your Path of Exile/logs/client.txt file for the IP address of the server to which you were connected). Be sure to let this WinMTR run for 200 packets sent while you are connected to the instance and having these latency spikes. Need Support? support@grindinggear.com.

IMO it appears changing instances will get me into this state i.e dom kill was laggy (I had help) but then everythig up to medicine chest was fine. then, upon returning to the coast all went to pot, at which point my lioneyes instance became laggy and I recorded the above.
