Mechanical questions

1. Bramble Jack. If an enemy hits me with a physical melee attack but I block it, will the blocked damage still be reflected?

2. When using Cybil's Paw with block, will the life on spell hit still apply if the damage is dealt through a trap?

no - "damage taken" means exactly what it says; block prevents you from taking the damage

kind of - trap would probably gain life for itself, but thats not possible because it has maximum life of 1

Besides, it's already destroyed at the time the hit lands.

I figured as much but was hoping for a method to abuse block.
