Do I miss something or why was Israel "reestablished" in the first place? Wasn't there something after world war 2 or am I mixing my history lessons up? It's an old conflict lying deep with many nations involved and an artificial one induced, let's leave it at that. It escalated since many years but no one will embrace the floods of people fleeing their homes in a responsible manner. Too much harm for your own economy to let that happen, right? Chomsky is pretty good but he has some factual inaccuracies in some of his books. And usually he downplays the wrongdoings of the enemies of USA.

Kinda my point. You side with the Palestinians and then look for people that agree with you to justify your opinion.
Having no side in this conflict, I have watched it unfold since I was a child. Both side have caused grievous harm to the other. But whenever a peaceful solution is presented, the assholes with the guns on both sides destroy it. Why? Because if there is peace, they lose their power and toys. Strange. This fits most conflicts I could name today. |
