Thanks will check it out
Jump in a play for a while. Just play. Don't max/min. Don't set long term goals. Just goof off for a week or so. Then you will have a basis for understanding advice given to you.

The only real "noob" advice that you need is that there's some items that are extremely rare and valued by the community that can drop at any level or at any time. Don't trade these away or use them haphazardly. In particular, the three orbs: Exalted, Eternal, and Mirror. Others you can use in moderation and not regret it later.

Thanks for this.
Your first character will, to put it mildly, suck like an old granny on a wet newspaper..

use that character to pick up some early level items to use on your second character, and to learn how skills and the skilldrasil work together.

Spend some of your found Orbs on items, but dont waste them! dont chaos that lvl 22 item ten times to get a +23 to life roll on it. But use it once or twice to get an improvement every once in a while.

check the wiki a lot!

Don´t compare yourself with no-lifers who play 10h a day. the goal is, and always should be, to have fun. Who cares if you dont have BiS items...

Don't play melee for your first character, as it really depends a lot on your weapon, which does not scale with content, you'll be stuck in early Merciless and your progress is grinding to halt until you can find an upgrade to your weapon.
Once you have some currency (orbs) gathered on Spellcaster character(s), try a Melee character, its mad fun!

Try and find some "noob" or "budget" builds if you want someone to hold your hand. they will help a lot. Or nosedive in and be amazed of the things you'll learn from that. your choice.

Play with the skilltree a lot, see what you need and want. and then change it while playing, like a zillion times!

have fun!
Don't Touch my Sweep please GGG!

A couple things that throw people early; game info isn't really in the game, and the trade system isn't really in the game, so:

Game Info:

Trade System:
poe.xyz.is

GLHF
No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.
Don't be put off by the slower pace of the game initially. It speeds up.

Bare with it and you may never return to D3
Just for try for see and for know.
