Rumors about future Mjölner nerf -- Your opinion?

The dmg with moljner + arc is really retard, it nedd to be nerf.

Some people around here act like their heads got hammer-nerfed too.

About RF, I am running a low life RF char today and to be clear, to make it running, you sacrify everything else. Everything.

I am almost convinced that going RF for a caster is a bad idea, you sacrify too much for the gain. In my case, my RF is my main damage output so it's fine, I only cast ice nova+added lightning to proc EE and shock stacks.

I still have to redo my skill tree to save about 6 points, so will be even more optimized with higher leveled gems.

Stop the nerfcry for something that is not OP and it´s fun to play. If you are jelly, save and buy one.

Mjolner is OP if you have the absolutely best gear on this game and you are a higer than 95 level. Working as intended.

One of the objectives of this game is to make your char as much powerful as you can, and with the effort, level and gear you will get it. Working as intended. No need to nerf a cool weapon.

I didn't die 2 times. I said I nearly did. The OPness is the fact that the gear is worth a total of <150ex at current rates. If you got a Mjolner before the "hype", the build is worth even less (somewhere around 50ex total). And to reiterate, I did this with a 100% unique-item setup.

I have seen builds of less than 150 exa on the current meta doing the Apex. The Apex is not a very difficult thing on this game FYI.

I am sorry to ruin your party but you are not doing something extraordinary here. The Apex is possible for most OK builds on this game to do.

I don´t see any OPnesss on your build. It´s just a mediocre Mjolner build doing the Apex with no OPness. You are not facerolling anything, so that is proof enough to show that a Mjolner is not something broken.

That is why I don´t understand why is people looking to nerf some item that doesn´t really need it.

Since your apparently the expert chrom can you give me your opinion as to why Mjolner appears to be the most expensive non legacy unique this game has ever had?

Could be the general Mjolner hype combined with the expectation that it will go legacy very soon. The price really doesn't have to represent its actual power at all. Think of speculative economic bubbles.

The Mjolner got ultra hyped when the Rainbow Nuke came out. It was seen OP because of the Rainbow Nuke snapshoting. Then shortly after, the snapshot fix was confirmed and people realized that without snapshoting the build became an elite thing, or just NOT VIABLE. It was not as cool anymore, because it requires even more high spec investment on gear to make it work to the max and you got terrible mana problems, along with needing a high level char, from level 95 upwards to play it properly.

The base requirements plus the need of RF on a non-snapshot form killed the boner of those who owned it for a while. I know people that owned it and then switched to a crit dagger CoE build because the gear requirements are easier. Get CoE, shavs and a decent dagger ( you don´t need a Loath Bane ) and there you go, free facerolling all the way. MUCH MORE than with a Mjolner.

That also confirms what this other guy said above: there are more Mjolners than windrippers for sale, for this very reason. People get it played with it, it was not that OP, went for a crit dagger build.

It is also true that it is a very good unique weapon, so price must be high according to the specs. Maybe it is just the first of the more cool uniques that GGG will release on the future. Maybe there is going to be something similar to Mjolner but on a fire or cold flavour in the future.

But by no means it is overpowered.
