elemental equilibrium build need help?

Trying to build a elemental equilibrium caster. I seemed to be doing enough damage and was going along fine until the end of act 3 merciless I'm now struggling with surviving. Any one have any tips. For example how much energy shield should I have, what DPS should I have and What level should I be by time you get the last couple of quests in the act?

Any help would be great thanks.



Passive skill tree build

You have zero life nodes although you don't play a CI build. I guess chaos damage just one shoots you atm. Spec out of the ES recovery nodes and take CI - Infused shield. Get ghost reaver and use a life leech gem.
With ES gear + discipline aura aim for more than 5000 ES once you want to start doing maps.
Using spell totem - summon skeletons also helps in buffing your defense.
