So... when is Discharge going to get the Lightning Arrow treatment?

I play a discharger, and I get auto-booted from parties 9 out of 10 times. This a reality, and it's frustrating. I'm sure many of you experience the same thing. The following is a common sight to see on the Noticeboard:

"L77 maps / PA / NO DISCHARGERS"

For the 1 out of 10 times I'm allowed to stay, I can tell people are simply "putting up" with me, as people will constantly say "damn it's laggy". I know Discharge looks all cool and explodey in its current state, but the fact is that it causes major lag issues for a lot of people. The premise of the build itself is fine, but I feel that the huge atom-bomb-looking effect needs to be toned down or reworked altogether. I remember when people would auto-kick LA players in open beta (before the skill effect got toned down). Now that prestigious position has been relinquished to Discharge -- the new king of obnoxious.

It also makes culling impossible.

I remember the good ol'POE days when discharge sucked balls so GGG used its amazing balancing magicks and now made it to far the other way( too uber) so as usual I applaud the 5 year old who,works very hard I am sure, but couldn't balance a jenga tower with all the woodblocks still in.

Be great to see some more creative measures taken to balance this game besides the cheap and easy: nerf to ground raise something new tactic, it's like GGG highlights skills for a bit and then puts them back, so tired of this tactic.

Low-life shav/coe crit ST users also make culling nigh impossible with their ability to basically 1-shot anything.

If I understood correctly, OP is talking about the graphical effects of the skill and he is right, Discharge and other effects need to be simplified for better performance.

I'm not sure about the "laggy" part here, I think the op and players are confusing it with the frame drops that occurs when very complex gfx is put on the screen.
Would it be possible to have a toggle in the Options to reduce the size of effects? I see the OP's observation all the time as well, and even though I don't ever play a CoC/Discharge character, I hate to see them excluded because they can be nice to have on a party.
