Is MSG really bad for you?

I used to have noodles full of MSG loads before I read it was bad for you. Then I stopped eating anything containing it. Today I was hungry and there was one last MSG containing noodle pot buried at the back of the cupboard with an expiration date of next month (must have been years old because they have really long expiry dates), so I took it out and ate it.
So am I going to die? (b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted.

What is this MSG?

Monosodium Glutamate, flavour enhancer. Mostly used in asian food, such as the chinese brand of ready noodles I ate.

MSG is fine. HFCS is fine. Artificial sweeteners are fine. GMOs are fine.

Coke tastes of nothing to me.
I prefer my fruit juices. Chinese noodles are amazing though, I've got to start eating them again.
