Question: Fire damage nodes + ground slam + added fire damage

Hey guys, I am not sure about something. So, I use ground slam and I only have a 3 linked weapon right now, it's linked with added fire damage and life on hit.

So if I get fire damage nodes on the passive tree, like lava lash or arsonist for example, will that make my ground slam stronger? Would it be worth doing that?

But I don't wish to waste skill points or respec points.

or what about increased elemental damage nodes? Would that work with ground slam if I had the added fire damage or would that need elemental damage or would it stack with both?

does anyone know? I guess I'll just try it and respec if it doesn't do anything or much.

Bonus elemental damage will work with added fire damage but you need fire damage mods on your weapon for the weapon elemental damage to work I think. But the elemental damage nodes will work for groundslam if you have added fire with it.

did ggg say anything if they are going to bring avatar of fire back? this might be what melee champions need, the old 30k dps ground slam marauders were fun :D
