Dynamic lighting - we need plenty more

I assume a deferred rendering engine would render lighting in like a separate thread or some such? Thus greatly reducing the risk of running in to bottle neck issues with performance since most hardware these days are heavily multi-threaded?


Yeeeep. Thats how some games have hundreds of lights on screen without any issue. We can have around.. 3-4

You do realise all other development on the game would have to come to a halt if they were to hypothetically do this right?

No more content patches
No more features
No more MTX

Just one massive patch that makes things incredibly buggier for no discernible immediate benefit followed by nothing but performance patches for the next couple of years just to get the game at a playable state.




Just so we can have more lights on the screen...
