No love for Blood Magic Keystone?

In the current meta the Blood Magic gem is much prefered to the Blood Magic Keystone. This is due to auras being very powerful and running 2x60% auras on Life is prohibitively expensive - even with Mortal Conviction.
When MC was introduced there was a lot of theory crafting on the "x% Less Mana Reserved" part. I think it was fairly agreed that 40-45% was the highest number without MC being broken.

Thus we cannot make auras (much) less expensive to run. We can however buff BM keystone in other ways. One of the ways could be to buff the Life part of BM - making the net Life loss by running auras on Life smaller. The obvious choice would be an "y% More Life" notable after BM like the Infused Shield notable after CI. I think however that would be a little bland and not open up the meta.

Instead I suggest the following: Change BM to "Spend Life instead of Mana for Skills. Intelligence does not grant +Mana. Converts Mana to Life."

This will be an outright Life boost to BM users and providing a more interesting meta as mana nodes (and mana on gear) now will grant Life for the BM user.

i like that idea it sounds great only problem is like 100 ppl would complain and say is too overpowered
I like it, to a certain degree. There are nodes/gear that gives you a sick amount of HP that way, though.

Wouldn't it be a very easy way to get insane amounts of HP, if you don't run auras and go super-tank of doom?

Eldritch Battery + Blood Magic?

Opposite sides of the tree so I'm not sure how good it'd be, but I'm sure somebody would make it work. Use ES gear with +Life mods, convert the ES to Mana then Life with the keystone combination. Would be pretty insane I think.

First thing the blood magic keystone says is "Removes all mana" dude.

What's even sadder is that there is RMT spam on the board for hours but if a common poster uses an offensive posting he will be probated within 3 min.

Russel never got back to me or even attempted to find someone to answer my ideas concerning auras I have been against this since they did it. SO STUPID MAKING ALL THE AURAS COST FLAT% ,LAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZYYYYY since all its done is nothing and made those with the gear even more powerful, YAH! everyone loves GEAR CHECKS!

What I suggested for auras:

1. Set a max on auras.Players in CB and OB tended to average 2-3 auras.
2. Add a keystone like ''Auric Transmogrification'' put it by the templar and witch area. This keystone would add another 2 auras to max out at 5. It could also have a downside like forcing players to only use spells or something.

BUT NO... GGG wants everyone to have lots of auras and only play a certain way to have them, great balancing job. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHOICE? whomever did these aura changes needs to be:a)demoted or b) told to lay off the kiwi ale at work and c) if they don't lay off the kiwi ale they get fired.

SO yeah thanks GGG for making BM so utterly stupid now, every BM build I have tried since then sucks balls as soon as I try to get a aura on them; since I got to expend like 10+ pts to get to another reduced aura node and waste points on this crap when everyone knows BM builds need LIFE AND LIFE REGEN not dicking around with reduced aura nodes that in the end don't equal the worth of point expenditure. Oh yeah and GGG why did you reduce life nodes again, those nodes by templar are all 8% so stupid!, not even worth it same goes for a lot of the other nodes, 10% is fine, 12% rocked!

AND if I wanted to make a non BM build now I only have enough mana for barely a aura and tempest shield...GRRRRR. WHO DOES THE BALANCE FOR THIS GAME SERIOUSLY?!?!?!!?! DO THEY EVEN PLAY THE GAME BEFORE THEY MAKE THE CHANGES?

ye BM + Mana,sounds a bit OP tbh, they could just add "allows the use of 1 aura without any mana cost"

BM keystone is actually quite powerful. I have made several bm keystone chars focusing on high life, max block/ sp block, over capped res, iron will casters. Very tanky, like facetank shock and horror. Medium damage.
