Portal D/C

I was finishing act 1 on cruel difficulty when I got this rubber-banding thing when the character ports suddenly. I decided to take a little break while it goes away as usual. I had 2-3 mobs behind me, I got ~1 screen away from them, opened a portal and clicked on it. Game showed me a zoning screen and then I d/c'ed. I immediately clicked log in and it sad something like "You know you're not in this league" in the lower left corner and I saw that my character is now in the default league. The location was 6-8 levels below my templar. Can't force myself to level another character, because there is no guarantee it won't be the same thing or something new.
