I apologize for the terrible MSpaint skillz.

There are so many devourers, there must be something underground making devourers.

So, are devourers being summoned like summon skeleton?
Or is there a big devourer giving birth to little devourers like carrion queens from act 3?

Also the inhabited by animals map mod includes devourers, therefore assuming that devourers are animals and not some demonic creatures.

What kind of animals are they? How long have they been around? Do they need to breathe or can they just stay underground the whole time? Are they the results of the twisted wildlife due to the corruption of the Karui? What else is under the land of Wraeclast?
