Doktor, which graphics card... drivers... etc? Intel graphics wont work. Same with open source drivers for amd/nvidia. you need the proprietary ones.

Also, i won't celebrate until i see poe working again halfway decent on linux... I won't blame ggg for linux not working - it's not officially supported and i accept that. But ofc i won't buy supporter packs for a game that i cannot currently play if you get my drift ;)

If you have an AMD card, currently, you're probably better off using radeonsi. AMDGPU(Pro) may be better for some of the more recent cards, but using Gallium-Nine with older cards is way better. Whatever you do, don't use Catalyst.

Yea... sorry but i doubt PoE runs on Intel "Graphics Cards". I doubt it would even work on windows.

I have no idea if these will work for you but Oibaf has an Ubuntu Gallium-Nine PPA that supports Intel ilo. It's at https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/graphics-drivers.

Does anybody noticed some major improvements with ssd under linux? I'm concidering buying a ssd, because since 2.3. hits, I'm forced to play poe under windows.

I used to play PoE on an Intel HD4000 GPU (IvyBridge), and I got frustrated by poor performance so I upgraded to a Radeon R7 360... and PoE was pretty much exactly the same. So yeah, Intel graphics should be fine.
Tested patch, holy fucking tits. Performance is back baby. This is amazing. PRAISE CHRIS. PRAISE GGG. When CAD isn't so shit, getting a new supporter pack. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Anyone know how to get sound to work?

Wine is using winealsa.drv and the sound is coming out when I click "Test Sound" but in game any sound channel I pick gets me "Failed to intialise sound driver".
thx chris bae
Anyone else getting some performance issues after playing for extended periods of time? (Over an hour). It's nowhere near as bad as it was, it's just hard to say if this a CPU issue on my end, or something else?

Edit: NM, just seems related to letting areas fully load in. CPU % skyrocketed for a minute or so then went back to normal.

Double Edit: Nope, it's definitely something from leaving the client running for awhile. Whenever I relaunch it, it's back to being almost perfect performance.
