Atziri Feedback as 2h melee

Heyo, well i tried doing atziri myself as 2 handed melee, groundslam build basically, it just seems like this fight is almost impossible without a kaoms and of course a massive life pool

The fight just seems like it was designed for some builds to not be able do it without insane gear, i understand that its supposed to be hard and i like that, i can kill the double vaals and the trio without dying, but at atziri i just die, i can not use enduring cry cause i have to run, i cant immortal call cause i have to run and have no charges, i cant stun her cause shes unwavering so i cant get charges that way either

Basically as a 2h melee-er with mediocre gear my defense is stunning enemies and immortal call, this works extremely well in all maps, i can stun and kill all bosses without problems, but when i get to atziri everything that has worked up until then is shoved down the drain and i just sit there with 5.5k life and no endurance charges running around like a headless chicken trying to get a hit in

Of course part the problem is also on my end, a mediocre connection and somewhat low frames per second, but i still manage to avoid damage, i just die to shit like her spear throw cause i dont have endurance charges, i cant stun her to acutally stop her from spamming blasts, so they can also kill me.


I mean why make the fight in such a way that you need 100 exalts(or more) worth of gear to do it with a type of character and a fraction of that to currency do it with another type (RF).


just to make my point even clearer, this guy has the best 2h cyclone gear in the path of exile server and comes close to dying to her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS-SxY1REVE theres also some other videos of 9k life 2h people almost dying and dying there. And of course all of these guys are in standard and have died there before, with 9k life and mirrored gear just because they are 2h builds which have to get close to do damage, have no block chance, have no massive fire resist, or massive armor

At least remove her unwavering mod so we can get some endu charges, most people in the game, DO NOT have kaoms to get 8k+ life and mirrored gear! so please give the normal folk who go with two handed chars a fair shot at the fight

edit:not saying thats how I feel, saying thats how I believe whoever is in charge of balance feels.

What do you expect? The entire fight is nothing but a stupid gearcheck and /oos fest introduced by a grinding hell.

Do you really believe spamming AoE skills with 25k+ Base damage tests any skill?

"Hey look we balanced this fight around 90% resists and uber atziri at 95% resists. We are so hardcore"

Remember when GGG said "We don't want players to use the same uniques"? This is the biggest lie with Atziri.


Either you pass the gear check, abuse certain mechanics, abuse certain corner or hope you will never get hit.
Nothing of it is hardcore.

Ipeeps was one of the first 50 players to kill her in ambush, and did it as two handed cyclone without kaom. I have no idea why you would be needing immortal call. With ANY armor the bleed is very weak and a staunching takes care of it. The Elemental is a far bigger thread.

Uber is a completely different story. Bleed will destroy you there. The fight is about movement skills.

He dies 5 times... and look at the fight in general, i think you can see my point at how insane it is for a melee 2h to do her, as i said its almost impossible to do it if you dont have 9k life, and even then youre close to dying most of the time

and if youre not using cyclone like me, its even harder to kill her

never mind uber atziri, that fight is not possible as 2h melee even with 9k life

I wanna pretend like I could take her regular form down being a regular player but I'm thinking probably not lol

got two full sets though so as soon as my friend I play with hits 85 we're doing it, he's dual searing bond templar, i'm 1h sword reave duelist.

i'm almost 86 now and he's 81 so I shold be close to 88-89 when he gets there( I play more obviously lol )

remember to get spell block for the fight, at least stone of lazhwar, and if you can get a ratiph globe as well, it will make it a lot easier

Spell block is what I run normally with Crest of Perandus and stone of lazwar lol

Looks very nice! but i suggest you slap in a purity of fire in there, if you can maybe sacrifice hatred for it or get your friend to run it, its extremely useful for the fight

but as the rest goes, im pretty sure you can do it

Yeah I was definitely thinking I was going to need to throw purity of fire in there couldn't decide it I should switch out grace or hatred, but yeah I think my friend is just running regular purity on his templar so he could probably throw in purity of fire somewhere easy
