Build Feedback and Critique Pl0x

So I am going to a 1-hand (dagger or sword since the only nodes I take are one-handed, and not specific to a weapon type) + shield build that focuses entirely on block and evasion because raisins.
I feel like with this tree my damage may be too low, but I really can't say at this point as I am by no means a master at looking at a build and seeing that it will be wonderfully tanky or have plenty of damage. Additionally, this is not intended to be a hardcore build. The plan is to use a Reave + Multistrike + Faster Attacks + Melee Phys Damage + Concentrated Effect for a five link, probably with a Carcass Jack, and with an added... Something should I ever get my hands on a six link. From there, Grace and Clarity auras and probably Arctic Armor on Reduced Mana, Blood Dance boots, probably Walord's Mark curse, though maybe Vulnerability, and the standard Enduring Cry + Molten Shell + Cast on Damage Taken + X four link.

I'm no specialist in 1h/shield but I still have some remarks:
- don't take small 3% attack speed nodes, not worth the cost. The 8% node at ranger start however is too good to pass on. - You made some wrong choice on life, maybe. Revenge of the hunted is quite expensive to get, but on the other hand you don't take the life between Haste and Mental Acuity. These 3 nodes are also too good to pass. - You may want more block. - Here's a tree which factor this 3 remarks. - Your damage % is decent but not great. You'll certainly reach higher value for same cost if you specialize in a weapon type. And without crit, be sure to have very good chance to hit to get your damage right (some 20% accuracy nodes could help). - With your expensive combo, you will need some good mana leech. Mind Drinker might help. - Reduced mana doesn't help for Arctic Armor, and anyway you probably won't have enough mana to sustain it. My 2 cents. Ranger builds list: /917964

In that case it would probably be better to use Swords if for no other reason than to get the extra Accuracy rating that they have.
Additionally, it seem likes if I took Sword nodes I would not be ass efficient with +% damage from those nodes. Any thoughts on ways to actually get more out of Sword nodes than I get out of general one-handed %damage nodes? Last edited by ThePromise110 on Apr 19, 2014, 4:35:43 PM
