Does Growth and decay effect Viper strike

Hey!
Growth and decay gives an 18% increase for damage over time.
sorts of dot is burning damage or chaos damage from Viper strike (wiki)
when i get this skill point the damage of the viper strike stays equal in the description.
for example when i do the same with poison arrow the cloud damgae scales.
Is this a bug in the viper strike description or does this skill note dont effect him (and why?)

Yes it does, the damage seen with viper strike is only the initial strike damage, the DOT isn't listed but is increased by the 18%.
