Moderator Proposal

I see you found some actual moderators. It's just a little sad that I've never seen either of them.

I feel it would be a bit better to either get a few more, or have certain ones for certain areas. I've seen a few things that really should be locked/moved since I started posting and they are still where they sat, and still have useless posts in them piling up.

I stand by my original post for needing more people, as the forums are a little messy (the public area at least).
I try to be as respectful as I can to you, whether I agree with your opinions or not. I only ask that you grant me the same courtesy.

+1
I've seen both mods post at different times.
As a former mod working with hundreds of players it can be difficult to be there all the time when crap hits the fan.
This is typically when the community posts things like..
"Shouldn't this be in off-topic"
or
"Where's a mod when you need one?"
As the game grows in popularity it will become necessary to promote more players/employees to a mod position.
We typically tried to look at demographics regarding timezones to make the staff more effective.
A few hours gap in activity can spell disaster for a forum and take hours to rectify the damage.

True. An old forum I used to frequent had about 2-3 mods per continent to occupy the peak hours. We'll see what the future holds. The second it hits open beta the numbers will spike dramatically, though. Might be good to get some in and with an established reputation before then.

As a rule we try to keep a low profile. Begging for beta keys is not against the rules so it frankly doesn't matter how much that sort of behavior annoys you. We did give those sort of topics their own forum so they wouldn't clutter the general discussion and we actively make sure that they stay in that forum.

Spamming, excessive profanity or abuse, racism/sexism, pornography, ads, selling accounts/keys. These are against the rules and if you see something like this then please inform one of the mods and we'll take care of it as soon as we can.

Thanks for the input from an actual Moderator :)
