Regarding Scions

I played before they were introduced, soon after the game was released for the public.
However i am at a complete loss when it comes to playing one, especially what to make of them.

If i have a marauder tree in front of me i can easily point to whatever i would like to play as, same with all other classes except for Scion.

My question is, what exactly is the most concise and straightforward build for Scions?
