Loot grades, uniques elite's and such!

Ok, D2 made me the loot monger I am today. I LOVE FINDING SHINYS!! Especially when you find a gold item lying on the ground ready to be identified...

Now my questios are thus... When loot drops will it be colour coded and actually be the colour on the ground ala D2? Also, will there be a similar loot system to D2, for example uniques and elites and then randomised stats on each item?

There is plenty of shinys in the game ;) I've seen only a handfull and they are... let me put it like this... AWESOME.

When a item drop you can see by its colour what kind of item it is (rare, elite, common, call it whatever you want)

And yes the loot system is similar to D2's, or most ARPG games.
