 You get extra "new and improved" desyncs to kill you extra fast. Working as intended. This is GGGs private lie, they tell us that reducing desync is hard like "crossing an ocean" hard verses "crossing a ditch", then they tell themselves that desync is just another way to ramp up the difficulty factor. WFT!? If another arpg comes along that is great and fun and doesn't have massive desync then watch out for player base collapse.

Lol yea, I'm not even touching hardcore this time because in nemesis I ripped once to desync and another to a server crash, 2 complete wastes of time not because nemesis was hard (twas eeeeeeasy peasy) but because the game is broken.

Invasion sounds pretty cool, like it might actually put the HARD in hardcore, but I bet you can just skip any content that is too hard/risky. In any case, I'm sure desync will be the strongest enemy so I'll give it a miss.

Invasion doesn't have the same rewards as ambush. You die in Invasion.

To provide you with some perspective: I'm playing the tankiest Marauder I could think of and just finished Normal. At lvl 39, I have one passive node for damage, because it's on the way to some life nodes. Fire and lightning resists are at 77%, only cold isn't overcapped. I have 1700 hitpoints. I'm using molten shell on hard cast and already have 5 endurance charges.

I facetanked Kole, Piety and Dominus. Dominus' lightning stream literally wasn't moving my health globe, I didn't even have to flask - just stood there and right-clicked him.

A bit earlier, one of the invasion bosses dropped me to 10% in about 1 second and I barely managed to escape.
