What happens in invasion?

Like ambush has the strongbox, what does invasion have? I'm guessing it still has the corrupted zones?

Invasion has random mob groups scattered about areas. Such as Carrion Swarmers in Act 1 areas. Occasionally you'll meet a general, who is a super strong meng who makes you sad.

This general, similar in strength to a corrupted zone boss but with a random appearance?

I know it is a vague question as the corrupted zone bosses vary in difficulty and a whole bunch of other crap to take into account but in general would you say they're about as threatening?

I would say invasion is the hardest PoE league to this date, yes.

Invasion transfers you to softcore.

It was invaded by aliens.

You'll literally get facefucked by most of the bosses, especially during lower levels. A boss that can discharge, roll, has extra life and regen at level 2? Yes please.

Or the spikes-on-death boss, throwing ice spears and Vaal fireball at you when you get close. Have fuuun~

 You get extra "new and improved" desyncs to kill you extra fast. Working as intended. This is GGGs private lie, they tell us that reducing desync is hard like "crossing an ocean" hard verses "crossing a ditch", then they tell themselves that desync is just another way to ramp up the difficulty factor. WFT!? If another arpg comes along that is great and fun and doesn't have massive desync then watch out for player base collapse.
