Back again! Dual Sword Scion Triple Threat!

So I played my previous build, ,up to Merciless. It was slow going at first but became very fun and was definitely the direction I wanted to go. However, I was not happy with the claw selection and DPS they offered for the leech I was getting. While leveling I came across many more good swords. So that got me Thinking and so I went to reworking my build.

This new build, ,has been reworked with added resistances, more mana (I am looking to run 2 if not 3 auras) and more attack speed. So far this build is less gear dependent particularly in the weapon department.

My main attack is going to be Dual Strike with Multistrike, Melee Splash, Life Leech and either Mana Leech or Faster Attacks or Melee Damage.

I will use Spectral Throw as my secondary attack with LMP, and Mana and Life Leech and maybe Knockback and Added Fire Damage.

I will also likely use FlickerStrike as a movement/combat starter, which is where the triple threat part comes from.

Gonna focus on armor with my gear.

What do you all think? Thanks for looking.
Get rid of of those resist and mana nodes and run bloodmagic
ign sweetumss
Why get rid of the resists? Seems like it's something everyone talks about needing lots of for merciless and beyond.

I did the mana nodes cause despite what others said, I was always short on mana. I know this had something to do with my gear but unlike most people I run into, I don't have the wealth to get the pimped out gear. I worry about taking blood magic with running upwards of 3 auras. I have yet to see life leech proform well enough to make up for auras and taking damage. Again, I know some of this is because of my gear not being too hot. Also with the new temp leagues high end gear will be in short supply.

What are some gear options that are attainable that would work for this build?

Try something more like this buddy, it's far more optimal.

Don't spec into swords so early.. it's just crippling yourself and limiting weapon choice. Only spec into it when you actually have endgame weapons.

Resists are beautiful, and make sure you max them out. If you need to take from the passive tree, do so VERY sparingly.

Do the Blood Magic gem, NEVER use the keystone unless you know what you're doing. Run 2 auras - Grace/Determination for more survivability and swap out for Hatred if more DPS is required. Mana does not work with bad gear, once you enter no regen/half regen maps with a 5/6L, you will be starved of mana so hard you will want to cry. Life Leech isn't designed to let you disregard everything and face tank the world, it just helps you play the game smoother. Still, you will notice more of a difference once you get more damage going to leech off of.

I was going sword spec, early I guess, cause most of the easy to access +damage nodes seemed to be swords. Plus my plan is for this to be a sword build. I didnt think I would have as big an issue finding decent swords as I went, at least not like claws. I guess I could keep it open for now, axes and daggers. Not sure how I avoid some of the sword only node though.

Good point on the Blood Magic gem. Should I use the gem for my auras or my primary attack/attacks?

So as far as the mana goes, are you saying I am better to keep the nodes I was taking? sounds like you were.

So far, and i understand its only normal mode, even with only ok swords I am doing really good. This time around its like night and day from my last build.
Never take a single mana node for this kind of melee build. You won't need it - Blood Magic all your abilities.

Blood Magic Gemming Auras is an extremely dumb idea - never do it unless you are going low-life.

BTW thanks for tweaking my tree. I have tried many pre builds and have not had fun with any except my Fire Witch. She is super fun. So I really wanted to make a build for how I wanted to play which is why i have been working so hard on this one. Plus I find the theorycrafting fun and a great learning experience.

With only 88 points used why not use some of the ones that would put me closer to 100 twards things like mana and or attack speed/ damage?
NOO!! NEVER SAY MANA NODES AGAIN!!! STAAHPPP :( BLOOD MAGIC FTW

Basically, the 88-point build is designed to let you take specialised nodes when you actually have an endgame set of weapons since there isn't any specialised nodes in there.

You can grab Resolute Technique if you want as well, only 6 points away.

Damn, I was comparing the stats and you cleaned it up great! Only issue I have is that some of it takes away from the ST damage cause ST doesnt use +melee damage nodes.

Part of my goal was trying to optimize this with ST in mind but I am wondering if that can be done without completely focusing on ST. I have noticed that ST scales like crap, at least right now. I always feel like its not actually using the +damage nodes I take. I often wonder if its bugged.
