Desecrate and zombies

Let's say I use a low-level Desecrate gem to create corpses and then raise zombies out of them. Are these zombies less powerful than the ones I would summon from slain enemies (in, for instance, merciless Lunaris)?
I know the answer is yes for spectres, but I've never seen this discussed for zombies. Thanks! Shower thought: no two rares are the same. So rares are unique, while uniques are not. On the other hand, uniques are rare, while rares are not.

Zombie stats depend on the lvl of the raise zombie gem only.
