Why is SoS so expensive?

I don't get it. Everyone tells me I'm trolling about fishing, no one seems to believe me that the rods can be used, even the people who I helped find rods in the first place.

So, when I built my fishing spec character and made do with a regular rare rod, I didn't think I'd have any trouble finding someone to sell me a Song of the Sirens when I had the rest of my setup ready for it. Turns out I was wrong as hell. I already had a rod drop on standard and I don't think they can drop twice in the same league, and when I tried to buy a SoS with a legacy Kaoms, I ended up in a bidding war with some guy who whipped out legacy Kaom's plus a mirror, which I honestly can't compete with.

Sorry, I guess this is more of a rant than a question. I'm just frustrated. I have a lvl 89 fishing spec ready to faceroll the rivers of Wraeclast, and the whole thing is just dead in the water until I can get an SoS. fml.

I wish I was joking bro, I really do. Sadly the reality of the situation right now is that I can't find anyone to sell me one for less than a legacy Kaom's plus mirror, which is beyond my price range at the moment. I guess I'll just have to keep farming and hope for some mirror drops so eventually I'll be able to afford the SoS :(

Can you explain what a fishing spec is?..

If fishing is lucrative, you could take a loan from a friend to be able to offer than 1 mirror + 1 kaom's, and then later on repay with interest.

u do it wrong, you see, you can t buy Sos, u need to eternal your white rod first and run around mudflat naked, using the code /Ihaveballsofsteel in chat.
