America's Army 2.5: still up and kicking
I can't find any low servers (ping), but I figured there are many players out there (about 50-200 at any given time). Have to reg an account and complete training (account registration is manually done by an admin there to prevent bots and stuff).
http://aao25.com/ And for the GUI that also downloads the game and connects to everyone else http://sourceforge.net/projects/aa25assist/ Just figured if I share this, it can get more players and be more alive. It gets enough funding to stay up and all, but really lacks players outside of Europe. Note: you need a battletracker account, but that's easy to get (free, also). damn i remember playing america's army around 2006 or 2007 maybe. i don't like the way that it's a blatant military recruitment tactic.

Man I used to love playing AA and still know some mates that play. The ping playing from Australia is pretty bad though.
Easily the best FPS / tactical team game that I've played. "Withdrawing in disgust is not the same as apathy"
