Can not progress through 2nd act

It's the fourth time I try and I always end up with infinite loading screen. If I alt+tab I get a couple of errors. I took screenshots of these http://i.imgur.com/fazm6G3.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/nbRdr8a.jpg. But last time I got this http://i.imgur.com/7su50Jz.jpg

Yes I am playing on an Acer Aspire 5740G with intel core i3 330M, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (512MB RAM version), 3GB DDR3. And I just realized that I crash upon entering any area from that point. Not even sure if I can enter the area itself without using the waypoint system. Strange.
Edit: pretty sure it's not a performance issue, I get good framerates maxed out (30+ FPS, with no AA) but I keep everything on low anyways for maximum performance. Forgot to mention, I believe the errors I get are different for every area, not sure. I'm tired of trying now, I'm just stuck in act 2 and can't do much with all this crashing. 39.2GB (of 78GB) on my system drive, 28.4GB (of 219GB) on my other drive (on which the game is installed)
Edit: I'm guessing it's not healthy practice to have less than 15% free space on a drive for defragmentation purposes, but other than that I can't see a problem with it :-? Last edited by x6snake6x on Jan 27, 2013, 6:46:36 AM

I'm also stuck at act two. Game hangs every time I try to enter the Dark Forest, the Chamber of Sins, or the Church. Tabbing out always reveals an error, though not always the same.
Unable to create thread; Unable to view MapChunk; Zombie out of memory; Terrain out of memory. I'm running Windows 7 on an iMac with 4 GB of memory. |

Same thing is happening to me and am getting stuck on loading screen when changing zones. When I first entered closed beta I seem to remember this occurring but one of the patches fixed it. Last couple of days been happening again though and I have to force close my client all the time. I don't think its a performance issue at all since the problems I'm experiencing now never happened in closed beta (once they fixed it). Happened to me once in Act 3 so far but mostly in Act 2.

Least I'm not the only one getting these. I have noticed in some areas textures go invisible or black, and that seems to slow down the game a lot for some reason.

Game crashes even when I try to use a portal to it that belongs to somebody in my party. The only time i entered was when I TPd to a cave where that spider quest is. I left the cave and entered the Dark Forest. I was so happy and went to the waypoint so I could enter again. When I tried to waypoint back to town the game creashed again. next time I entered it was saved that I entered the area but not the waypoint. Anyone know what to do??! To add I also had the same problem with the Church(it worked 5th try day 2). I am stuck in the Dark Forest now and my computer has capacity to play all games. |
