On topic: No, genocide is the deliberate destruction of a group or race of people. Deforestation may cause certain species of flora or fauna to become extinct. Which can be argued is natural selection at work. At the current rate of mining and forest clearing it is looking likely that we as humans will eventually make this planet uninhabitable.

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
