lost gear

I recently logged out and logged out then logged back in to find my shield, one handed mace and gem missing. In the item slot was an old weapon i had not used in about 4 levels, has anyone else had this happen to them? i have a feeling its a glitch possibly. Is there any way to get my gear back?

There is a switch weapon function, so that you can have 2 weapon slots to switch between easily. If you look on your character panel you will see the tab to switch between them. There is also a hotkey to switch them fast and easy but i just woke up and can't remember it off the top of my head. The list in the Options UI will tell you the hotkey.
