I freed the scion, but I still can't choose her as a character?

I've played through the game, and killed Dominus. On the floor before going to fight Dominus I freed the Scion, but when I go to create a new character, I can't choose the scion? I've gone back and double-checked, and the cage is now empty, but I still can't play as the scion????

Did you try logging all the way out of the game? Maybe the character selection screen doesnt update until you log out and back in.

Did she show up on your screen as one of the characters you can choose? She would be right in the center of the group.
