Installation directory must be on local hard drive

Error "Installation directory must be on local hard drive when I want to download a game. Tried to find a solution on forum, but nothing helps. I'm using windows XP, any ideas how to fix it?

You could install it to local drive then copy it over, or maybe use software to fake the share as a local drive. I've heard this problem before, so I think it's on their bug fix list, just low priority since there's a workaround.
