Critical strike question

Hi fellow PoE players,

I'm quite new to the game and haven't figured out yet what all the possibilities are in this game. I'm playing a maurader and I'm not sure if I should get resolute technique (RT). What do I give up by not being able to do crit strikes? Is it just the strike multiplier damage? Or are there some other usefull things I can do with crit strikes (like freeze or stun enemies or something)? Also, is it easy to get accuracy and/or crit change in this game? I saw some nodes under RT that allready gives you 60% crit change? Is it really 60% change on crit or is there another coefficient in play?

+ % crit means, + % from ur weapon crit. example: Mace have 5% and with + 10% crit
