What is Sufficent dps/ehp for end game?

I'm a scion level 85

I currently have 3.7k hp

22k dps with double strike

3.7k ST

9k Armour

75% resists all round excluding Chaos

Even 20k armor and 8k life wouldnt matter if u would get critted by for example Orachid map boss :S
If hit is bigger then 5k u mitigate less then 10-15% of incoming dmg

also:

10k dps is more then enough to facerape till 76 maps >_>

Can you link to the math on that armor calculation?

Or somewhere you can plug the numbers in.
Such calculations were made plenty times from cb till now, dont be lazy and use search button.

Thanks, but I already found this page. I meant the specific math with the numbers he had or a calculator I could use to quickly check it, since he kind of just threw the numbers out there.

I already checked it manually @eragon, so you can unbunch your panties :)

There's a big problem with the build i'm following, as suggested by the replies i'm lacking in armour and hp, my 50% of my items have hp on them, and i've gone and altered my build to have more %life even armour. so where do people get 8k hp from?

I don't really understand what you don't understand.
Why do you need a calculator? Use excel.

I'll trow some number so you can understand Armor efficiency.
Formula:
Damage Reduction Factor = Armour / ( Armour + (12 * Damage) )

This damage happens only in high maps. Not in normal content. Not even in Merciless.

Assumptions:
Player in good gear can have about 4500-5000 Life.
Player in legacy Kaoms can have about 7000-8000 Life.
Player in good gear can have about 7000-8000 ES.
Player in godly ES gear can have 10000-11000 ES.

The majority of players are in the first category ~4500 Life.

Armor efficiency scenarios

Assuming Life + Armor (IR) character

Monster Damage: 2000
Player Armor: 10000 easy obtainable for an IR character
Damage Reduction: 29%
Player takes 1420 physical damage

Monster Damage: 2000
Player Armor: 30000 assuming using granites
Damage Reduction: 55%
Player takes 900 physical damage

Monster Damage: 5000
Player Armor: 20000 uber gear no granite
Damage Reduction: 25%
Player takes 3750 physical damage (still survivable)

I heard map Vaal Smash can get to 8000 Damage.
Lets do the math.

Monster Damage: 8000
Player Armor: 50000 uber geared player with granite on
Damage Reduction: 34%
Player takes 5280 physical damage -> RIP if you don't have (legacy) Kaoms

Monster Damage: 8000
Player Armor: 25000 regular player with granite
Damage Reduction: 25%
Player takes 6000 physical damage -> RIP if you don't have (legacy) Kaoms

Monster Damage: 8000
Player Armor: 15000 regular player not paying attention
Damage Reduction: 13%
Player takes 6960 physical damage -> RIP if you don't have (legacy) Kaoms


Advice:
1. Dont't tank Vaal Smash in maps i.e. DON'T TANK BIG PHYSICAL HITS
2. The larger the damage - less effective the armor is
3. Armor is very effective versus many small physical hits. Similar and synergies well with Arctic Armor.
4. No defensive mechanism in this game makes you 100% immune to damage. You can reduce the damage by A LOT, but occasionally you can be surprised by a BIG UNLUCKY hit that can kill you
5. Pick several defensive mechanics

8k HP is from wearing Kaom's Heart.
It used to have +1000 Life and no fire damage.

It can get your life from 4000-5000 to 7000-8000. Considering you have a good amount of %life nodes in the passive tree.
